TALLAHASSEE, FL-It is with extreme sadness that the Gamma Mu Lambda Chapter shares the news of the passing of Bro. Emmanuel Manhiri on June 27, 2023.
Bro. Manhiri was initiated into the Gamma Mu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. on March 16, 2019. He most recently served as Parliamentarian of both Gamma Mu Lambda and the Tallahassee National Pan-Hellenic Council.
Born in Zimbabwe and raised in London, he held an undergraduate degree in music and communications from the University of Manchester and a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Strategy from Florida A&M University where he was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity and the Real Estate Club.
Professionally, Bro. Manhiri previously served as Project Manager and Vice President of Communications for the European Regional Development Committee, led a music consulting firm called E-Music Consulting; and was managing partner of 24 By Design, a marketing strategy firm. He also served as a Teaching Assistant at Florida State University’s College of Health and Human Sciences.
Bro. Manhiri was an active member of the Gamma Mu Lambda Chapter. He readily demonstrated his willingness to serve the chapter in a variety of roles and be a representative of the highest standards of the Fraternity. His professionalism, his sense of humor, his passion for music and soccer, all of which was readily apparent to those who knew him, will be incredibly missed.
