TALLAHASSEE, FL-It is with extreme sadness that the Gamma Mu Lambda Chapter shares the news of the passing of Bro. Andre Green on August 1, 2023.
Bro. Green was initiated into the Rho Upsilon Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. on October 31, 2020.
Hailing from Mariana, Florida, he held an undergraduate degree in human sciences from Florida State University, a Masters Degree in Student Personnel Administration from the University of Central Missouri and a Doctorate in Higher Education from Hampton University in 2014.
Professionally, Bro. Green joined the faculty at Florida A&M University in 2006 where he served as associate director of Student Government Association & Operations and eventually moved to serving as Director of Student Union Activities & New Student Orientation, where he and his New Student Orientation staff recently completed sessions for incoming students of the class of 2027.
Well regarded in the FAMU Community, expressions of grief and shock have been accompanied by words of praise and and remembrance. Please keep the Green family in your prayers.
